  1. Love that there’s no cell service is Zion Canyon. We get so wrapped up about being connected at all time, but when we disconnect it’s easier to live in the moment and appreciate the beauty around us. This is what happened when I went on an Amtrak trip from NY to LA a few years ago. No wifi on the train and I spent 5 days day dreaming and staring out the window at the passing scenery.

  2. I love how you’ve listed kid friendly hikes. We did not hike with our kids when they were little, and I really wish we had–an article like this might have helped. But I am eager to visit Zion and hope to do so in 2020! Thanks for all the great information.

  3. When I read your article, I love the feeling of a non-problematic hike, even if you bring kids. Such a good feeling, as it should be, but I am guessing not all parents feel that at ease to travel with their kids.

  4. It’s such a pretty piece of nature! I find it a great way of spending time with kids going to a natural park. Your post is full of good advice!

  5. Great post! I don’t have kids but Zion is on my list & your article is really informative for any visitors. Thank you fo sharing!

  6. I’ve been to Zion a few times and think it is super family friendly! I don’t trying Bright Angel is wise but a lot of the other trails are family-friendly the town around it as well! I love the fact that you are getting your son exposed to the outdoors and hiking early! He will appreciate it more in the future.

  7. Such a beautiful place. I always used to take my son exploring when he was younger, it is great to get them out in nature from an early age.

  8. How I love Zion! We went with my 90-year-old mother, which is something like going with a toddler. The shuttle bus was great for her. I would love to go back and do more extensive hiking!

  9. Zion is still one of my favorite national parks i’ve visited. We did make it to the Grotto hike, and it was beautiful! The end of the hike leads you to a giant waterfall going into “the grotto”, we went in September when it was still warm and cooled off in the water haha

  10. Usually we like to do international travel during the summer but we may need to stay closer to home this year due to Covid. Might need to make a Utah National Parks trip happen!

  11. Hi! Thanks so much for sharing this! This will be my first hike with my daughter (2 1/2) and my parents. I am overly excited and can’t wait! Thanks again for sharing this!
