  1. I would so love to do a trip like this, to travel across the US and visit all the big parks, and the smaller once to. We have only just started planning our first big trip to US and I am so looking foward to it!

  2. I know I need to do a USA trip and I have started to put together a list of places to go and post to remind me, and added your trip to Shenandoah to it

  3. This national park looks great! I’d be the most interested in seeing waterfalls and wild animals. So good that the hike is manageable with such a small baby!

  4. Helpful tips on Shenandoah National Park. I don’t travel with kids, but all the info is helpful. The itineraries are good.

  5. I love visiting National Parks, but since I live in California, I have not been to many of the ones on the East Coast yet. But when I get to Shenandoah, I will definitely reference your article. I really appreciate all the great information. And I’m glad you mentioned the America the Beautiful Pass in the beginning, we just purchased one last month.

  6. I don’t have kids but I can totally see why it’s great trip with young family. I like how you took it slow and relished your vacation

  7. It’s great you are getting out and exploring with the kids – the experiences you give them now will foster a love and enjoyment of the outdoors for many years to come. Thank you for sharing and encouraging others.

  8. Great information! We mostly hear about the most famous national park, but there are so many more worth visiting.Good to know about this one, too 🙂

  9. Lots of great tips! Whenever we visit a national park I love seeing people out with their little ones. Learning about nature and the world around us is a great way to teach children about the importance of caring for our planet. Our kids are adults now, but both of them love being in nature.

  10. Wouldn’t be taking any kids with me but totally appreciate all the info on this post. After a year of visiting mainly cities, it would be fun to have a park year next year 🙂

  11. Visiting Shenandoah National Park with kids looks very easy and accessible family vacation and as a family traveler I would prefer this as an introductory park for my kids Shenandoah which is a forested park along the Appalachian Trail would be first in my wish list when I visit national parks in North America as it is for all. Thanks for sharing a very detailed guide.

  12. Your kids are so adorable.. my partner and I travel around the country to different national parks. We live in the midwest (Michigan) so we keep saying “we’ll get there” to Shenandoah, we just still havent haha
